Purpose-built for manufacturing high-precision automotive headlight heat sink bases, this 280-ton cold chamber die casting machine is engineered to meet the strict thermal performance and dimensional accuracy requirements of modern automotive lighting systems. It is optimized for producing aluminum alloy headlight cooling bases with dense fin structures, tight mounting tolerances and consistent thermal conductivity, making it an ideal production solution for automotive lighting component suppliers.
At the core of the control system is a premium German PLC paired with a high-resolution color touch screen, delivering real-time, precise monitoring and adjustable control over injection speed, injection pressure, clamping force and all critical process parameters. Every casting parameter can be stored in production recipes and adjusted with pinpoint accuracy, ensuring consistent part quality across long production runs of headlight heat sinks. Advanced closed-loop control technology enables ultra-fine regulation of injection speed throughout the entire filling cycle, which is critical for fully forming thin, dense cooling fins without cold shuts or incomplete fill, and for maintaining uniform internal density that directly affects thermal conductivity.
The hydraulic system operates on a dual-proportional control architecture that supports fully programmable multi-stage injection profiles and low-pressure mold clamping. This gentle low-pressure clamping mode protects delicate fin cores and precision mold surfaces from impact damage, extending mold service life and lowering tooling maintenance costs. The entire hydraulic circuit is fitted exclusively with high-quality European or Japanese oil seals, selected for their excellent wear resistance and long-term sealing performance, ensuring reliable, uninterrupted operation year after year.
The clamping unit features an integrated mold height adjustment mechanism that distributes clamping stress uniformly across the entire mold platen, preventing uneven flash and maintaining stable mold alignment over millions of cycles. The injection system is equipped with high-flow hydraulic valves and a precision piston accumulator that delivers fast, repeatable and highly stable injection performance, perfectly suited for complex headlight heat sink molds with intricate fin structures and multiple gating points. Built on a heavy-duty, stress-relieved machine frame and cooled by a high-efficiency oil cooling system, the machine is engineered for a service life of 15 to 20 years under normal three-shift production conditions. An optional mold sweeping robotic arm can be integrated for automated mold cooling and cleaning between cycles.
