Alloy Earring Pendant Production: Complete Rubber Mould Making Tutorial for Centrifugal Casting
In alloy jewelry manufacturing, centrifugal casting is a go-to method for fine earrings and pendants. Silicone rubber mould making is the first and most critical step for accuracy. Here’s our standard 8-step process, suitable for small-batch customization and mass production.

1. Lay the silicone rubber mould
Lay the silicone rubber mould flat into the bottom of the metal frame. Ensure no wrinkles, and press the edges tightly against the frame walls.
2. Arrange the master models
Place the original earring pendant masters (wax or metal samples) on the rubber mould. Reserve sprue positions and spacing for smooth metal flow.
3. Place mould nails
Set mould nails at the corners and parting line. These ensure perfect alignment and fixation when closing the upper and lower mold halves.
4. Cover with the silicone rubber mould
Lay the last silicone rubber mould piece on top
5. Press + heat for 20 minutes
Put the assembled mould into a hydraulic vulcanizing press. Set temperature.
6. Open the mould
Take out the cured mould. Remove the master samples. The cavity is now fully replicated.
7. Carve the mould
Trim the sprue, venting grooves, and flash with a carving tool. Ensure liquid alloy can fill easily and air can escape.
8. Finished mould ready
The mould is ready for the centrifugal casting machine—producing beautiful alloy pendants.
